Transportation Challenge Over at Pile It On!

Today's card is a square 4 1/2 x 4 1/2.
The card base is Kraft paper by Close to my Heart.

The layers are retired diagonal stripes, Glacier cardstock, Toffee cardstock, and Almond cardstock,  all from Close to my Heart.

The stack of suitcases digital stamp "Luggage" is from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.
Since the theme is Transportation and/or Vacation, the luggage was perfect.

The sentiment is a sneak peek of an up and coming Stamp of the Month from Close to my Heart.
You will see several cards from me over the next few weeks using this one.

I distressed the edges of the paper and cardstock with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.

Coffee Time Card

This week, to showcase this adorable digital image for the Beverage Challenge from Bugaboo Designs, over at Pile It On! Challenge Blog,  I made this simple, yet cute card.

The digital image is Coffee Time-Perfect Blend.

I colored the image in with my Watercolor Pencils from Close to my Heart.
The card base is Peach cardstock from Close to my Heart.
The layers are Peach cardstock, Carolina cardstock, and some patterned paper from my stash.

The inside sentiment is also part of the digital image set.

For a little added dimension, I placed a few pink dots from the retired Documents Dots set from Close to my Heart randomly.

I also tried to rough up a few of the edges as well.
Since I didn't use ink this time to distress, like I usually do.

My Favorite Color Is Green... Just in time for St. Patrick's Day!

I don't exactly celebrate St. Patrick's Day at my house, even though my husband is Irish, but my favorite color is Green.

So for today's card I went with various shades of green, and colored this cute little girl with reddish blonde hair.
The digital image is Glittery and Sparkling from The Paper Shelter

I used Watercolor Pencils from Close to my Heart to color her in.
The card base is Emerald Cardstock.
There are various layers of Lagoon and Sweet Leaf cardstock as well.
The Heart Patterned Paper is from the So Much Happy Collection from Close to my Heart.
The little banner under the layered image is also from the So Much Happy Collection.

The yellow striped paper is from the  I Heart Us Collection also from Close to my Heart.

The sentiment is stamped in Lagoon Exclusive Ink, and is a retired stamp from Close to my Heart.

The edges of many of the layers are distressed with Sapphire Exclusive Ink.

To add a little sparkle, I added three Silver Glitter Gems.

Finally, the inside of the card is a layer of White cardstock distressed with Sapphire Exclusive Ink.

Monochromatic You're The Best Card

Today's Card was simple to make, but so cute
and featured over at the Creatalicious Challenge Blog!

I used the Retro Rocket Digital Image from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.

For that monochromatic look, I used three shades of grey from my Close to my Heart Watercolor Pencil Set.

The "You're the Best" sentiment is from the retired Petite Perks stamp set "Just For You".

For the card base, I used Black cardstock from Close to my Heart, and added a layer of Pewter cardstock.

For the layers of patterned paper, I used the mini hearts from the I Heart Us paper packet from Close to my Heart.

For the striped, honeycomb and floral patterned paper, I used the Feels Like Home paper packet.

All the layers of paper are distressed with Pewter Exclusive Ink from Close to my Heart.

For a little extra sparkle, I added Silver Glitter Gems by Close to my Heart.

A Card of Encouragement For A Dear Friend

Happy Thursday!
I hope you all have had an awesome week so far.
Today's card was created to send to a friend who needs a little encouragement.
I love to send cards to brighten the day of those dear to me.

Today's card was created using the Pretty in Plaits Digital Image from All Dressed Up.
I colored in the Digital Image with Copic Markers.

I used the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog Bingo Board to help inspire my design.
Patterned Paper, Digi Stamp, Fave Color + A Sentiment

I chose Patterned Papers from the Something Fierce Collection by Close to my Heart.

There are 6 different double sided patterned papers to choose from.
I chose the Pink Pin Stripe, with the Star Zip Strip, and the Pinkish Red Watercolor sheet.

The sentiment "Something Fierce" is a chipboard piece from the Something Fierce Complements Set.
This set includes both stickers and chipboard pieces.

For a little extra flare, I added a strip of Lemon Cardstock, yellow is one of my favorite colors.
Green and Yellow are equally my favorite.
I included green in the floral set on her hat.

The complements sheets are huge, 6 x 8 sized.

I chose to distress all of the edges of the card with Pewter Exclusive Ink by Close to my Heart.

The inside of the card is a simple White Daisy Panel layer distressed with Pewter Exclusive Ink.

I hope you enjoyed my card, please feel free to leave me a comment below!

Feeling Blue Thinking of You Card

Happy Sunday!

Today's card was one I created for the Feeling Blue Challenge from Pile It On!
I chose to use various shades of blue to fit that theme.
This Challenge is sponsored by All Dressed Up
The card was created using the "Amore" Digital Image.

The digital image was colored with Copic Markers.

All of the layers of cardstock are from Close to my Heart.
The card base is Peacock cardstock.
The overlay is Carolina cardstock, distressed with Lagoon Exclusive Ink

I cut the overlay from the Cricut Cartridge Edge to Edge.
The Digital Image is layered with two pieces of Glacier cardstock
I just turned one to the lighter shade.
I distressed several layers of the cardstock with Glacier Exclusive In k from Close to my Heart.
Since the Digital Image had it's own sentiment, I didn't add an additional one, however to highlight it, I added two banner strips behind it.
The white banner strip is distressed with Glacier Exclusive ink.

For a little added bling, I added a few Silver Glitter Gems from Close to my Heart.

The inside of the card is a layer of White Daisy cardstock also distressed with Glacier Exclusive Ink.
