Monochromatic You're The Best Card

Today's Card was simple to make, but so cute
and featured over at the Creatalicious Challenge Blog!

I used the Retro Rocket Digital Image from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.

For that monochromatic look, I used three shades of grey from my Close to my Heart Watercolor Pencil Set.

The "You're the Best" sentiment is from the retired Petite Perks stamp set "Just For You".

For the card base, I used Black cardstock from Close to my Heart, and added a layer of Pewter cardstock.

For the layers of patterned paper, I used the mini hearts from the I Heart Us paper packet from Close to my Heart.

For the striped, honeycomb and floral patterned paper, I used the Feels Like Home paper packet.

All the layers of paper are distressed with Pewter Exclusive Ink from Close to my Heart.

For a little extra sparkle, I added Silver Glitter Gems by Close to my Heart.
I entered my card into the following challenges:

This month's Blog Hop showcases the February Stamp of the Month that begins today.

Each month, when you spend $50 retail or more, you have the opportunity to add on the "Stamp Of The Month" set for only $5!

This is a great way to maximize your money and build your supplies!

Here is my featured 6 x 6 card I made using
the Stamp of the Month
"Heartfelt Sentiments".

The card base from White Daisy cardstock was cut at 6 x 12 and scored at 6 inches.

The first layer of the card is Pewter cardstock.

The second layer is the sugarplum patterned paper from the Feels Like Home Collection.

I stamped the Heart Happy Image in Black Ink, and colored it in.

I distressed all of the edges of the card with Pewter Ink.

I added a piece of Light Gray Ribbon to give some extra dimension as well.
The Ribbon is on sale right now for only $1.50, stock up!

Lastly, I added some Silver Glitter Gems to the card for a little bling!

Thank you so much for stopping by, before heading over to Jayma's Blog, please consider leaving a comment and enjoy the rest of the creative talents in this month's Blog Hop!
