Cute Little Hello Card

This morning, I had the most fun creating this cute little card with the "Movie Star" digital line art image from the Melonheadz Clip Art set "Stars Clip Art".

To create this card, I colored in the digital image with my ShinHan markers.
I used a few pieces of ribbon for my embellishment.

I stamped the sentiment "Well, Hello" from the Short and Sweet stamp set with Tuxedo Memento Ink.

I layered the image onto a piece of cardstock.

Then I recycled an old cello card envelope and filled it with some sparkly embossing powder to create my own little shaker card. I then mounted the entire envelope onto the card base with some thin 3-D foam tape.

The inside of the card is simply a piece of white cardstock that I sponged the edges with my Cranberry Mini Pigment Ink Pad.

I also stamped a little stars image with the "Party Gathering" stamp set.

I also entered this card into a few challenges:

A Few Quick Cards From Our Little Dreamer Paper Pack...

Tonight, I started out my cards with a 6 x 6 square of the unicorn themed paper from our Little Dreamer Paper Packet.
None of them were very elaborate by design.
I wanted to show you something simple and quick.

I cut the 6 x 6 down, in a One-Sheet-Wonder fashion.
I then played around with the pieces, layered most of them and came up with the cards you see here.

In addition to the Little Dreamer Paper Packet, I also used some of our Fundamentals Paper Packs, Our Whimsy Two Tone Cardstock Pack, and our Say it All Stamp Set

The Say It All Stamp Set is only available until July 31st.
If you haven't purchased one, don't miss out.
The set is perfect for most any occasion and is only $13.95, not bad for 19 phrases.

Most of the sentiments were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink

"So Grateful" was stamped with the Lagoon Mini Pigment Ink Pad.
The Lagoon Mini Pigment Ink Pad is part of the Adventure Exclusive Inks Mini Pigment Pad Set.

One of the "Just For You" cards has sparkly embossing power on it.

I used VersaMark Ink to make it stick, then the Craft Heater to set the sentiment.

This particular card also has Tuxedo Black Memento Ink sponged around the edges.

A Quick Thinking Of You Card...

Here is a quick little thinking of you card, I made for a friend of mine that used to live here in North Carolina.

For a little extra dimension, there is some sponging around the circle with the sentiment on it.

The North Carolina stamp, is part of the entire United States collection. There is one for every state. And at only $2.95 for the set, you can't beat that at all.
Here are a few of the others states:

Again each stamp set for the states is only $2.95, the perfect little stocking stuffer. It is not too early to start thinking about Christmas!

A Quick Birthday Card...

Had a chance to play for a little bit with some new goodies, that arrived today.

A Birthday Card...

Generally throughout the year, I go through Birthday cards and thank you cards for my customers pretty quickly. Because I sell Close to my Heart products, Uppercase Living, and Tastefully Simple, I am constantly sending cards out. I love sending my customers birthday cards.

So typically  few times a year I will participate ins swaps so that not only do I receive great cards that I can give, but I can also C.A.S.E. them and create mew ones later.

So this morning after I finished my children's birthday cards, I created the adult female ones for a recent swap I signed up for over at Splitcoaststampers

This card was relatively quick to make. I love the bright orangeish patterned paper at the top, it reminds me of the summer sunshine shining down on the flowers.  I added Rhinestones to the center of each flower for a little sparkle. The inside white layer is sponged with ink as well for a little character. The sentiment on the inside is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

I also submitted this card to a few Challenges:

My Little Man Will Be Turning One In A Few Months...

So as many of you know, I am a mom of 7 children. We have six daughters and one very special little boy. He is the baby and my heart for sure. Well that little baby will be turning 1 in just a few short months. I have no idea where this last year has gone, however I have started trying to plan his birthday party.

So for his 1st birthday, we decided to go with a Cowboy theme. I knew that one day If I ever had a boy, eventually one of his birthdays would be Western/Cowboy, so I purchased this set and held onto it.

Just so happens I have recently joined a few more swaps...

So I decided to pull out that set and play. I ended up creating a few Western/Cowboy themed elements for his birthday pictures to go in his first year album.  I will of course post pictures of those later.
However, for this card, I kept things rather simple. A few layers, some sponging around the edges. I added eyelets in the corner for my embellishments. I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for the Birthday sentiment and for the cowboy hat outline. I hand cut the cowboy hat out.   You will notice I made two different styles as well.

These cards were made for "children's birthday" swap over at Splitcoaststampers

The inside is just a layer of white cardstock with some sponging as well.

I chose to submit this card to a few Challenges as well:

It's Been Ages Since I...

It's been ages since I made a one layer card. Honestly the last dozen times or so I did, they were always white, white and black, or white with a small pop of color.

I don't believe I have ever made one with a colored cardstock base, so the One Layer Card, Colored Cardbase Challenge over at Less is More really was a challenge for me.

I tried to keep things simple. I used white ink on a navy card base. I went with a snow theme, and lightly sponged around the edges. I did round the corners of the bottom of the card as well.

I also submitted my card to the follow Challenge:
